Andrea is in Brazil!
Over the next couple months she'll be hanging out underneath 200
year-old palm trees refining her Portuguese skills and studying the pandeiro
(Brazilian carnival tambourine).
In the mean time, we're holding down the fort in East Jordan, chippin' away at various projects. We've finished recording our next full length album! It is currently in the mixing phase (subtle tweaks to get the right squeaks), waiting patiently for a early April release on both compact disc and vinyl!
Later in the spring, we plan to release a 7-inch record that will also be a hard bound book illustrated with wood cut prints by Micah ...something to read before you fall asleep, with something to listen to when you wake up...altogether, something for the kidz.
The 7-inch/book will be a combined effort by Micah, Deep Woods Press, and Stumptown Printers, created using old techniques: letter press, hand binding, and embossing. We plan to have the vinyl pressed nearby in Detroit.
In order to pull this 7-inch/book project together, we need your help.

This winter we're catapulting an online fundraiser for the 7-inch/book project at www.kickstarter.com. You pledge what you want, and we honor it with special stuff. Example: Woodcut printed pillow cases and eyepillows with block prints from the book...don't lose sleep thinking about it, leave that up to us. Stay tuned for updates!
